Another Strike in Beirut. Reuters: Key Operative Eliminated

Recent reports indicate an airstrike was carried out in the Dahiya district of Beirut, likely by a UAV. The upper floors of the targeted building were hit by several missiles.

It is still unclear who the target was and whether the assassination attempt was successful. However, Reuters, citing Lebanese sources, reports that Ibrahim Mohammad Qabisi, the head of Hezbollah’s missile division, was eliminated in the strike. The Lebanese Ministry of Health reports that six people were killed and about 15 others were injured, as discovered so far by rescue forces in Lebanon. Nonetheless, there is no official confirmation yet that he was indeed killed.

The IDF spokesperson released a statement: “Preliminary: The IDF has now conducted a targeted strike in Beirut. More details to follow.”

Chief of Staff: “We Will Accelerate Offensive Operations”
Throughout the day, the Israeli Air Force carried out numerous strikes in Lebanon. Earlier today (Tuesday), the IDF spokesperson stated: “In the last 24 hours, the Air Force’s combat squadrons conducted hundreds of attack sorties over Lebanon to neutralize threats and weaken Hezbollah’s capabilities. The strikes destroyed buildings storing weapons, launchers, and other military infrastructure.”

Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi held a security assessment this morning with senior defense officials and said, “We must not give Hezbollah a respite. We need to continue working with full force. We will accelerate offensive operations today and reinforce all systems. The situation requires continued intense action across all fronts.”
