This morning (Sunday) at 6:21 AM, sirens were heard across various regions, including Shfela, Lachish, and Yarkon. The IDF Spokesperson announced: “A single launch from Yemen was identified and intercepted before entering Israeli territory.” The interception occurred at a high altitude using the Arrow system. Several individuals suffered from anxiety, and four were injured on their way to shelters, according to an MDA update. Citizens are reminded to follow Home Front Command safety protocols, including entering protected areas during sirens and staying there for approximately 10 minutes.
Houthi Leader: Operations Continue on All Fronts
The launch follows last week’s statement by Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi, leader of the Houthis in Yemen, who declared: “We will not vacate the arenas and leave Gaza alone. We continue to operate across all fields and military fronts.” Al-Houthi encouraged mass protests against Israel, emphasizing Palestinian support and expressing solidarity with Lebanon.

Arrow System: Interceptions Beyond the Atmosphere
The “Arrow 3” system is a vital component of Israel’s multi-layered defense network, which includes the “Iron Dome” and “David’s Sling” systems. These systems, developed under the leadership of the Ministry of Defense through the “Homa” Directorate, are operated by the Air Force’s Air Defense Division.
The Arrow system intercepts ballistic missiles outside the atmosphere using advanced long-range and high-altitude capabilities, with a range exceeding 2,400 kilometers. Its operation relies on direct physical impact (Hit-to-Kill). In November 2023, the system achieved its first interception, successfully neutralizing a missile launched from Yemen toward Eilat. Shortly after, a deal was signed for the sale of “Arrow 3” to Germany, valued at an estimated 14 billion shekels.
