Today (Friday), reports emerged of a series of powerful strikes in Yemen, aimed at Houthi militia targets located north of the capital city Sana’a. Concentrated on the coastal line area, the strikes hit underground targets, radar systems, and missile launch systems belonging to the Iranian-backed militia.
12 Strikes and Massive Explosions
According to reports, at least 12 strikes occurred in the Harf Sufyan area of the Amran Province, a renowned stronghold of the Houthi militias. Residents reported hearing loud explosions echoing as far as Sana’a, the capital city.
Amid heightened regional tensions, the operation took place following reports of Houthi launches toward Israel. The targeted area in Yemen is one of the Houthis’ central military hubs, and a main point for their strategic facilities.

Hundreds of UAVs and Missiles Intercepted from Yemen
Since the war began, the IDF has been conducting a multi-front campaign to neutralize threats and protect Israeli citizens. As recently as last night, the Air Force intercepted three UAVs launched from Yemen. The IDF spokesperson recently announced that Air Force fighters have successfully intercepted approximately 40 missiles and over 100 UAVs launched by the Houthis, the majority of which didn’t cause any significant damage.
This isn’t the only measure the IDF has taken recently. Dozens of Yemeni-Jewish civilians were cleverly recruited by the IDF Intelligence this week, leveraging their expertise in the local language and culture against the Houthis.
