There was heightened security tension this morning (Monday) in the Binyamin region when a car bomb was discovered and neutralized at the entrance to the settlement of Ateret. According to reports from the Binyamin Regional Council’s spokesperson.
Security forces found two large gas canisters in the vehicle, which were connected to an activation mechanism, indicating an intent to carry out an attack. Police and military bomb disposal units were called to the scene and are currently handling the suspicious vehicle.
As a result of the incident, the Binyamin Connector Road has been closed to traffic. Authorities are asking the public to follow the instructions of security forces and avoid the area.

The head of the Binyamin Regional Council and chairman of the Yesha Council, Israel Gantz, commented: “A great miracle happened this morning in Binyamin. The terrorism in Judea and Samaria requires a military response, just like in Gaza and Rafah. We must evacuate the population and destroy the terrorist neighborhoods and infrastructure to the ground.”
