Commander of Bashan Division: We Will Protect the Residents of the Golan Heights from Any Threat

IDF forces under the command of the Bashan Division continue proactive defense efforts on the northern border. As part of operations, Syrian tanks and numerous weapons have been confiscated, as part of broader activities to neutralize threats to Golan Heights residents.

Forces of the Bashan Division (210th Division) face the daily challenge of complex defense missions on the northern border, aiming to ensure the security of Golan Heights residents and all Israeli citizens. Under the division commander’s leadership, elite units operate alongside infantry, armored corps, engineering, and commando forces to neutralize threats and provide immediate responses to any security developments.

Four battalion combat teams operate in a proactive defense format, including patrols, surveillance, and scans to detect threats along the Syria-Israel border. Battalion Combat Team 474 operates in command posts within the buffer zone, successfully locating and confiscating several abandoned Syrian tanks and additional weaponry.

Operation in the Syrian Hermon
Forces from the Mountain Brigade (810) and Shayetet 13 commandos recently completed a divisional operation in the Syrian Hermon region. During the operation, a Syrian army outpost was discovered containing dangerous weapons such as mines, explosive devices, anti-tank missiles, and advanced military equipment. The operation, deemed successful, strengthened the operational capability of the forces to neutralize potential threats in the area.

Simultaneously, combat teams from the commando and paratrooper brigades are working to ensure the security of northern residents through proactive defense activities. The forces employ advanced technological tools, continuous surveillance, and patrols to detect and neutralize threats in the buffer zone.

We will continue to guard and monitor against any threat.” The focused activities of the division on the northern border constitute a critical component in ensuring national security and strengthening Israel’s resilience.
