Defense Minister: Economic Sanctions Imposed on Hezbollah’s “Beepers Operation” Donation Campaign

As part of the Israeli defense system's economic campaign against Hezbollah, Defense Minister Israel Katz announced today (Monday) the imposition of economic sanctions on a donation campaign initiated by Hezbollah to support its operatives affected during the "Beepers Operation" in September.

The campaign, conducted through various crowdfunding platforms, allowed donations via credit cards, bank transfers, and PayPal, raising tens of thousands of dollars. These funds were used to bolster Hezbollah operatives and restore the organization’s operational capabilities. Security sources state that the sanctions are a significant step in the economic battle against Hezbollah and will help deter the public from participating in funding the group’s activities. Actions like these disrupt Hezbollah’s financing routes, which have significantly expanded in recent years through social media and crowdfunding platforms.

Fighting on Every Possible Front
Defense Minister Israel Katz commented on the decision:
“We are acting on every possible front to dry up Hezbollah’s funding sources as it attempts to rebuild its capabilities. Every dollar that doesn’t reach Hezbollah is another step toward weakening the organization. This decision is part of a zero-tolerance policy and a clear message to anyone considering financing terror under the guise of humanitarian aid: we will cut off any attempt to harm our security. Israel’s long arm will act in every way to ensure the safety of our citizens.”
