Drone Crashes into a Residential Building in Yavneh with No Injuries

The IDF spokesman reported that the drone originated from Yemen, and the incident is under investigation to understand why it was not detected.

A loud explosion was heard this morning (Monday) in a 15-story residential building in Yavneh. The IDF reported that damage was identified from a drone that apparently crossed from Yemen.

Earlier, the IDF stated: “Reports were received a short time ago about the fall of a suspected aerial target in the Yavneh area, without an alert being activated.’ The IDF is investigating the incident of the fall, which was not detected by the Air Force’s detection systems, and therefore no interception attempts were made.”

“MDA updated that at 09:19, a report was received about an explosion on the balcony of the top floor of a 15-story residential building in Yavneh, and no injuries were found.”

Significant damage was caused at the impact site, and a fire broke out. The firefighting and rescue forces report that there are two apartments affected at the scene, and after searching the building, it can be confirmed that ‘there are no trapped individuals or injured persons at the location. Meanwhile, the Israel Police have begun searches in the lowland area to rule out the presence of other hazardous items.
