The engineering unit of the Gaza Division and the Northern Brigade, in cooperation with the Yahalom Unit, uncovered and destroyed the underground tunnel route in the Beit Lahia area. The operation was carried out following prior intelligence that led to the tunnel’s discovery.
Major S’, the engineering officer of the Northern Brigade, stated: “The engineering forces of the Northern Brigade in the Gaza Division destroyed a terror tunnel in the northern Gaza Strip. Inside the tunnel, we found infrastructure proving that Hamas was significantly using the route for terror activities against our forces.”
