The Israel Railways spokesperson announced this evening (Wednesday) that, as part of an emergency drill by fire and rescue forces, temporary changes will be made to train operations in the Jerusalem and Modi’in areas on two separate dates in December 2024. The changes, scheduled for 17.12.24 and 24.12.24 from 9:30 PM until the end of service, aim to enhance the system’s readiness for emergencies. Simultaneously, Israel Railways will provide alternative shuttle services for passengers and will continuously update the public on the changes through its service channels.
Due to fire authorities’ directives, the following changes will apply to train operations:
Tuesday, 17.12.24 (from 9:30 PM until the end of service):
– Trains on the Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Herzliya line: Will operate only between Ben Gurion Airport and Herzliya stations and will not stop at Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon station.
– Train operations will resume as normal on Wednesday, 18.12.24, with the restoration of service.
