This morning (Monday), the Israel Police announced that in the past week, hundreds of suspects were arrested, dozens of weapons were seized, and large quantities of drugs and money obtained illegally, all as part of the war on crime. Throughout the week, hundreds of officers worked in crime hotspots, mainly in the Arab sector.

Operation “Knock on the Door”

At the same time, the Israel Police is conducting Operation “Knock on the Door,” to combat the entry of Palestinians who enter or stay illegally in Israel and those who assist them. Although many are interested in staying in Israel to work, there have been incidents in which illegals have been involved in terror and crime. Yesterday, 17 illegal residents were caught in the city of Beit Shemesh. The Israel Police reported that over the last weekend, during operations by the Jerusalem District officers, 38 residents of the Judea and Samaria areas residing illegally in Israel were located. Additionally, suspects who transported and employed them were caught, including a driver without a valid driving license, all as part of the battle against illegal residents and their accomplices.
