Although many UN delegates walked out in protest, Netanyahu was cheered by supporters sitting on the upper level. He was accompanied by some families of hostages and wore a pin of the flag of Israel as well as a yellow ribbon pin to keep the hostages always on everyone’s mind. His speech sent a strong message to the world about Israel fighting a justified war that is not just Israel’s war but the war of the whole world. He defined the nations around Israel as being part of a blessing or a curse, and invited the world to choose a blessing, like Israel has chosen. His speech was clear, powerful, and inspiring.
