As part of the IDF’s fight against terrorism, Air Force fighter jets carried out strikes today (Thursday), guided by precise intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate (AMAN), the Shin Bet, and the Southern Command. The strikes targeted Hamas command and control complexes in Daraj Tuffah, which had previously served as the schools “Al-Karama” and “Shaaban.” According to intelligence, these schools were exploited by Hamas operatives for planning and executing terror activities against IDF forces and the State of Israel. The IDF used precision munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence to minimize harm to civilians as much as possible.
The Hamas terror organization continues to systematically violate international law by using civilian structures, such as schools, for terror activities and exploiting the local population as human shields. The IDF stated that it will continue to “act decisively and with strength against terror organizations to ensure the security of the State of Israel.”
IDF Strike in Yemen
Meanwhile, overnight (Wednesday to Thursday), the IDF responded strongly in Yemen, attacking Houthi military targets, including ports and energy infrastructure in Sana’a, the capital of Yemen. The Houthis had been using these facilities for their military operations. “Israel will not hesitate to act to defend itself and its citizens from Houthi attacks,” read the IDF Spokesperson’s statement.
The strike occurred against the backdrop of the Yemeni terror regime’s collaboration with Iraqi militias to harm Israel, destabilize the sensitive security situation in the Middle East, and disrupt global maritime freedom. Hinting likely at Iran, the IDF Spokesperson added that the military is determined to continue acting and striking against anyone who poses a threat to Israeli citizens, regardless of the distance required.
