In a new promotional video by El Al, in collaboration with Hanan Ben Ari, the singer is seen sitting next to his mother. After many inquiries, Ben Ari affirmed to the questioners—the actress playing his mother is indeed his real-life mother, Leah Ben Ari.
In a story posted by the singer, it was written, “Too many people are asking me, so yes, yes, the mom in the commercial is really my mom—Leah Ben Ari, the one and only.”
In the collaboration with his mother, they appear together on a plane, with Hanan sharing stories with his mother about war heroes he met over the past year. The commercial is intended to announce benefits for reservists, based on the number of reserve days served during the last war.

This is not the first time Hanan Ben Ari has collaborated with El Al. He has previously appeared in other campaigns for the company. However, this is the first time his mother joins him for a television appearance. At the end of the commercial, Hanan thanks his mother with the words: “Thank you, Mom.”
The commercial received positive reactions, particularly due to Leah Ben Ari’s impressive performance, demonstrating remarkable acting skills. The campaign is broadcast on television and billboards. Hanan Ben Ari has a special connection with reservists, to whom he dedicated his song “Moledet,” released at the start of the war. Recently, he released a new live album called “Hindikim,” based on songs from his previous album “There’s More Here.”
Benefits for Reservists: 1.8 Billion Points Distributed to 81,000 Soldiers
Amidst the commercial, El Al distributed approximately 1.8 billion frequent flyer points to about 81,000 reservists, who collectively accumulated 18 million reserve days. The benefit was granted to those who served over 100 active reserve days, with each day earning 100 points. Due to high demand, the number of eligible beneficiaries was expanded.
In addition to frequent flyer points, reservists who accumulated more than 60 service days are entitled to additional benefits, including refunds for canceled reservations, extra baggage allowances, and preferred seating. Additionally, about 20,000 reservists have already received free flight tickets as part of the initiative.
