In recent hours today (Monday), numerous sirens were activated in the Nahariya area and nearby settlements following the intrusion of a hostile aircraft into Israeli airspace. According to initial reports, a direct hit by a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) was recorded in Nahariya. Security forces are operating in the area, and residents have been asked to follow Home Front Command instructions. Magen David Adom (MDA) teams located the site of the impact, and as of now, no casualties have been found.

The police reported that they are currently handling the scene of a fallen ammunition item in Nahariya. Initial reports indicate that the impact site is in a residential home, with no injuries reported at this stage. Police officers and bomb disposal experts from the Coastal District are isolating the crash site and searching for additional remains to remove any further risk to the public.

The police are urging the public to avoid going to the impacted areas, not to approach or touch rocket debris that may contain explosives, and to report immediately to Israel Police’s 100 hotline.

The Fire and Rescue Service reported that firefighting and rescue teams, led by Senior Officer Ronen Shtrit, are conducting searches in a high-rise building in Nahariya following a direct hit.

As a reminder, there were reports overnight of a wave of strikes attributed to Israel in an unusually large series of attacks across four provinces in Syria. The targets included production and storage facilities for advanced weapons. According to Syrian media reports, at least 15 missiles hit sites connected to the development, storage, and transfer of precision weapons, presumably intended for Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Hostilities began on October 8th, when Hezbollah chose to support Hamas in their attack on Israel.
