Following Arab media reports of an attack on vehicles in Lebanon using a UAV, the IDF has confirmed that: several suspects violating the ceasefire terms were targeted after entering restricted areas in southern Lebanon.

In a statement released by the IDF Spokesperson, it was stated: “In the past hour, suspects—some in vehicles—were observed entering restricted areas in southern Lebanon, constituting a violation. IDF forces fired at them.” It was further emphasized: “The IDF is deployed across southern Lebanon and enforces all violations of the ceasefire agreement.”

The statement added that Israeli military forces continue to maintain positions throughout southern Lebanon in areas where a gradual withdrawal is expected in accordance with the signed agreement. Additionally, Air Force aircraft are continuing to patrol Lebanese airspace, gathering intelligence and standing ready to act as needed.

Preventing Violations: “Anyone Moving South of This Line Exposes Themselves to Danger.”
This morning’s violation is not the first since the ceasefire began. Yesterday, just hours after it took effect, suspects were spotted approaching restricted areas. In response, the IDF carried out warning shots and made several arrests. Among those targeted, Hezbollah operatives were neutralized, and suspects in the village of Tirehafe were detained for questioning.

Earlier today, the IDF Arabic Spokesperson, Lt. Col. Avichay Adraee, posted an “urgent announcement” on his X account directed at Lebanese citizens. He listed several villages in southern Lebanon that residents are prohibited from returning to until further notice. The post included a map with a marked red line.

The post stated:
“Urgent announcement to Lebanese residents: Until further notice, you are prohibited from moving south of the following villages and their surroundings, as well as within the villages themselves: Shebaa, Al-Khiyam, Marjayoun, Arnoun, Yuhmor, Al-Qantara, Shakra, Bint Jbeil, Yatar, and Al-Mansouri.”

Adraee stressed:
“The IDF does not intend to harm you, which is why you are currently prohibited from returning to your homes south of this line until further notice.” He further clarified: “Anyone moving south of this line exposes themselves to danger.”
