During the week, the soldiers identified a weapons depot hidden in the heart of a residential neighborhood, adjacent to a civilian home. The depot contained a wide range of advanced weaponry, including dozens of long- and short-range missiles, ammunition, dozens of mortar bombs, machine guns, explosives, and medical equipment. These findings highlight Hezbollah’s extensive preparations for terror activities against Israel, cynically using the civilian population as human shields.
In a separate operation, the forces identified a vehicle carrying a rocket launcher located near a civilian structure. The launcher was loaded and ready for launch against northern Israeli towns, underscoring the immediate threat to Israeli civilians. The vehicle and launcher were destroyed by the IDF, preventing potential harm to Israeli citizens.
This activity is part of an ongoing effort by the IDF to neutralize Hezbollah’s terror capabilities in southern Lebanon. The forces continue to expose and destroy underground infrastructure, eliminate terrorists, and neutralize numerous weapons, with the goal of distancing the threat from the northern border and protecting Israeli citizens.
