Yesterday (Tuesday), an Israeli Air Force aircraft, guided by intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate, struck and eliminated Salman Nimer Jamaa, a Hezbollah envoy in the Syrian army.
Eliminating a Key Hezbollah Figure
Jamaa was a key representative of Hezbollah in the Syrian military system, serving as a liaison between Hezbollah and the Syrian army. He also facilitated the transfer of weapons from Syria to Hezbollah, even during the “Operation Iron Swords” conflict. Additionally, Jamaa maintained close ties with senior Syrian officials and held responsibilities in intelligence operations in the Al-Khiyam area. He later became operations officer at Hezbollah’s Damascus headquarters and, in recent years, was appointed as the organization’s official envoy within the Syrian army.
Jamaa was a significant figure in Syria, and his elimination represents a blow to Hezbollah’s stability in Syria and curtails its ability to expand.
