Over the weekend (Saturday), during counterterrorism operations in Gaza, combat troops from the IDF’s 401st Brigade carried out a focused operation lasting less than an hour at the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Jabalia Camp. During the operation, forces surrounded the hospital and arrested over 240 militants hiding in the vicinity.
The Operation’s Progress
The targeted mission at Kamal Adwan Hospital was executed after developing a comprehensive intelligence picture based on information from multiple sources within the Intelligence Directorate and the Shin Bet. These sources revealed the presence of hundreds of militants within and around the hospital complex.
Targeted Action of the IDF in the Area of the Hospital
During the operation, troops from the 401st Brigade and Unit 504 carried out a swift and precise raid, resulting in the arrest of more than 240 militants from Hamas and PIJ. Some arrests followed on-the-ground interrogations, and the detainees are expected to provide critical intelligence for ongoing combat efforts.
Among those arrested were 15 militants identified as participants in the deadly massacre on October 7. Additionally, approximately 20 militants were eliminated, and explosive devices planted in the hospital complex were neutralized.
The operation, conducted in an active combat zone riddled with traps, is part of a series of targeted raids carried out by the 401st Brigade combat team in Jabalia Camp. These operations will continue in the coming days.
