This morning (Tuesday), police officers from the Central District will conduct a large-scale emergency drill in the Sharon area to enhance the operational readiness of security and rescue forces. The drill, scheduled to take place between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM, will simulate multiple terror attack scenarios across various locations in the area.

As part of the exercise, which aligns with the police’s strategic goals and work plan, the command and control capabilities of the police forces will be tested, as well as their ability to provide a quick and efficient operational response to various scenarios. Special emphasis will be placed on maintaining public order, managing traffic, and ensuring public safety, with professional synchronization between all participating emergency and rescue organizations.

Residents in the area may notice an increased presence of police vehicles and emergency response vehicles on the roads. Additionally, pyrotechnics may be used as part of the drill’s framework. The police stress that there may be temporary changes in traffic arrangements for short periods and request the public to follow the instructions of officers on the ground.

A spokesperson for the Central District Police stated: “This drill is part of an annual work plan aimed at improving the operational readiness of our forces. We place great importance on conducting such exercises, which simulate complex emergency situations, to ensure we can provide an optimal real-time response to any event.”

The police are asking the public to remain alert and report any unusual incidents to the 100 emergency hotline. Additional updates will be provided throughout the day if necessary, depending on developments in the field.

This drill is part of a series of training exercises conducted by security forces across the country in recent times, with the goal of improving preparedness and coordination among various agencies in anticipation of possible emergency scenarios.
