The UN General Assembly Convened Early This Morning (Thursday) for an Emergency Discussion on Israel, Initiated by Arab States.
Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, spoke during the discussion and presented findings from Palestinian Authority textbooks, in which terrorists are glorified as heroes. Danon accused member states of the UN of contributing to the continuation of terrorism through their funding of the Palestinian Authority.

During the discussion, Danon showcased a textbook funded by the Palestinian Authority, which includes content that encourages violence and presents terrorists as role models for the younger generation. According to him, such books are taught in educational institutions that are partially funded by money coming from countries that are members of the UN.Dannon, leafed through the textbook, pointing out the image of the terrorist Dalal Mughrabi, whose name according to the book, “will be remembered with honor, she acted with great valor.” Danon explained that Mughrabi was the leader of the terrorist cell in the deadly “Savage Bus” attack in 1978, an incident in which the terrorists hijacked a bus and murdered 38 people—including 13 children.
Will Not Allow the UN to Determine the Fate of Our Hostages”
In his speech, Danon addressed the representatives of the member states directly, stating, “When the Palestinian Authority receives support from UN member states, it gains legitimacy to continue educating the younger generation to glorify terrorists and murder innocent people. You are providing backing for a regime of terror.”
Ambassador Danon also referred to the massacre of October 7 and the 100 hostages who are still in Hamas’s hands. He criticized the fact that none of the resolutions passed by the assembly this week condemned the crimes committed by the organization. “Shame on you. We will not allow the UN to determine the fate of our hostages,” Danon stated.
