Since the outbreak of the war, Magen David Adom (MDA) has maintained a high state of readiness and continuous communication with security forces. Ahead of Rosh Hashanah, the organization is bolstering its emergency response system across the country, focusing on maximum preparedness for any possible scenario.

Over the past year, MDA has significantly expanded the deployment of medics and paramedics nationwide and has reinforced its fleet with hundreds of ambulances, intensive care units, motorcycles, and other unique emergency vehicles. Among the notable additions is a new intensive care bus equipped with seven beds and advanced life-saving equipment.

During the Tishrei holidays and the intermediate days, all MDA emergency vehicles will be fully staffed, with 35,000 employees and volunteers on high alert, ready to provide rapid and professional medical assistance as needed. MDA’s Hatzalah Air helicopters in the north and south of the country will remain on standby as they have throughout the past year.

Thousands of employees and volunteers will spend the holidays with their families, with an MDA ambulance stationed at their homes on standby and ready for dispatch if needed. Additionally, many responders attending synagogue prayers across the country will be equipped with advanced medical equipment and defibrillators to save lives if necessary.

MDA CEO Eli Bin said: “As we enter the new year, we wish for the safe return of our captives, a speedy recovery for the wounded, and send our strength to our soldiers, wishing for their safe return. Ahead of the Tishrei holidays, I urge citizens to exercise extra caution during the vacation and drive safely—especially around children.”

MDA reminds the public of several important safety guidelines, including: close supervision of children and infants at synagogues, keeping hot Shabbat hotplates and urns out of children’s reach, caution when preparing and eating fish, and a strict prohibition on leaving children in a closed car. Additionally, the importance of supervising children at the beach and pool is emphasized, along with familiarity with the location of the nearest shelter in any place you visit.

MDA stresses the importance of caution and safety awareness during the holiday season, while assuring rapid and professional response in any emergency situation. The organization urges the public to stay alert, follow safety guidelines, and seek emergency assistance when needed.
