Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated earlier today (Sunday) that Israel, alongside its allies—the U.S. and other countries—will respond powerfully to the aggression of the Houthis from Yemen. Against the backdrop of the Prime Minister’s remarks, Mossad Chief Dedi Barnea recommended a different course of action, suggesting that Israel should strike Iran rather than the Houthis. According to Barnea: “We need to go for the head—if we only attack the Houthis, it won’t make a difference,” as first reported by journalist Moriah Asraf.
“We Will Act with Strength”
In his statement today, Netanyahu declared: *”We will act with strength, determination, and ingenuity. I tell you, even if it takes time, the result will be the same—just like with other terror arms.” The Prime Minister called on the public to be patient and to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command: “I ask you to do your part, and we will do the rest.”

Netanyahu received a briefing from IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi and Northern Command Chief Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin about the ongoing operations in Lebanon. The briefing included details of the seizure and confiscation of weapons from private homes in villages, where Hezbollah arms and ammunition were discovered, as part of the mission.
