MK Debbie Biton of the Yesh Atid party posted an emotional message on Twitter today (Sunday), sharing the special occasion of dedicating a Torah scroll in memory of her loved ones: her late mother-in-law Simy Biton, her late father-in-law Avraham Biton, and her late sister-in-law Orit Kahalani.

In the post, MK Biton described how the event, which combined the sanctity of the Torah with the remembrance of her loved ones, filled her heart with gratitude and a sense of mission to carry on their legacy.

Prayers for Peace

In her message, she added personal prayers and heartfelt wishes: “My prayers are also directed toward the safe return of all the hostages to their families, the healing of wounded soldiers, and the protection of all those defending our country.”

Biton concluded her remarks with a hopeful blessing: “May it be God’s will that we merit to see comfort and peace, and may the merit of the Torah protect us all.”
