Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a public statement this evening (Sunday) highlighting Israel’s recent security achievements and providing insights into strategic changes in the Middle East brought about by Israeli actions. Netanyahu emphasized the country’s commitment to ensuring its security while addressing efforts against Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah, as well as discussing an important conversation he held with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and ongoing efforts to recover hostages.

Transforming the Middle East Through Israeli Actions
“We are transforming the Middle East,” the Prime Minister declared. According to him, Israel has destabilized the Iran-Syria-Lebanon-Gaza axis. “Syria is no longer the same Syria, Gaza is no longer the same Gaza, and Iran has felt the strength of our hand,” he stated. He clarified that these actions aim to secure lasting safety against regional threats and prevent future dangers.

IDF Operations Against Syria
Regarding Syria, Netanyahu noted that Israel has no intention of provoking a conflict but will adapt its policies to changing realities. He highlighted Israel’s recent actions targeting military capabilities that the Assad regime had developed over decades and efforts to prevent Hezbollah from arming itself through Syria. “Within a few days, we destroyed significant capabilities and halted weapons supply routes to Hezbollah,” Netanyahu said, adding that Israel remains committed to continued operations to prevent its enemies from rearming.

Message to Hezbollah and Iran
Netanyahu delivered a clear message to Hezbollah and Iran: “We will continue to act against you as needed, in any arena and at any time.” He warned against renewed attempts by Hezbollah and Iran to rearm, affirming that Israel is prepared to meet these challenges. “Our message is unequivocal – we will continue to act to ensure our security,” he stated.

Conversation with Trump and Efforts to Free Hostages
The Prime Minister also updated on his conversation with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, describing it as “friendly, very warm, and very important.” The two leaders discussed completing Israel’s victory and exploring future collaborations.

Additionally, Netanyahu addressed ongoing efforts to recover hostages: “We are constantly working tirelessly to bring home our captives, both the living and the fallen.” He stressed the importance of maintaining discretion in these matters, stating: “The less we talk about it, the better, and with God’s help, we will succeed.”
