Last night (Sunday), around 50 rockets were fired toward Israel, and the air defense forces successfully intercepted most of them. In Kiryat Shmona, at least three impacts were identified, causing damage to a building and a bus, but no injuries were reported.
Simultaneously, Israeli Air Force fighter jets attacked military targets belonging to the Hezbollah terror organization in the areas of Aitaroun, Marun al-Ras, and Yaroun in southern Lebanon.
Additionally, last night (Saturday), an aircraft attacked and eliminated militants from the Amal terror group, who were operating in a Hezbollah military compound in the Faroun area of southern Lebanon.

The IDF spokesperson stated: “Following the alerts that were activated in the Upper Galilee area at 5:35 AM, around 30 launches were identified crossing from Lebanon. Air defense forces successfully intercepted several launches, while the rest fell in open areas. There were no casualties.”
It was also reported: “Following the alerts activated in the Kiryat Shmona area at 00:57 and between 2:34 and 2:39, around 20 launches were identified crossing from Lebanon. Air defense forces successfully intercepted most of them, and impacts were identified in the area, but there were no casualties.”
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the rocket fire, stating it was in response to the attack on a vehicle yesterday in the village of Faroun. According to Hezbollah’s Al-Manar network, two firefighters were killed, and three others were injured in yesterday’s drone strike in Faroun, southern Lebanon. The network claims that the team was working to extinguish fires caused by Israeli strikes. However, the IDF reported that the strike eliminated militants from the Shiite Amal organization, an ally of Hezbollah.
The Upper Galilee Regional Council announced that the special Home Front Command instructions for the communities of Gonen, Lehavot HaBashan, Shamir, Amir, Kfar Szold, Sde Nehemia, Kfar Blum, and Neot Mordechai in the Upper Galilee have been lifted. According to the council, educational institutions in these communities will operate as usual today.
