Border Police forces from the Judea and Samaria (Yehuda and Shomron) unit, operating under the Ephraim Regional Brigade, carried out the operation as part of their ongoing efforts to thwart hostile terrorist activity and prevent illegal residents from entering Israel. The forces, remaining alert to suspicious activity, stopped several public buses for thorough inspections.

During these inspections, the officers identified the illegal residents, all from the Judea and Samaria region, who were trying to enter Israel without valid permits. All 42 detainees were transferred for further investigation by the intelligence and investigation division of the Border Police in Judea and Samaria.

A Border Police spokesperson said, “Border Police officers will continue to tirelessly prevent the infiltration of illegal residents and arrest suspects who assist them. This activity is vital to ensuring the security of Israel’s citizens.”

This operation underscores the importance of constant vigilance and intensive security efforts, especially during sensitive periods like the Tishrei holidays. The police are urging the public to remain alert and report any suspicious activity.

The Border Police clarified that they will continue their determined efforts against illegal residency, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, to ensure public safety and maintain law and order.
