“She was proud to defend the country and save lives—both in her IDF uniform and as a volunteer with Magen David Adom.”
Magen David Adom (MDA) and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) mourn the loss of Staff Sergeant Agam Naim, a combat paramedic in Battalion 52 and an MDA volunteer, who was killed yesterday (Tuesday) during an operational mission in Rafah. Agam, 20, from Kibbutz Mishmarot, leaves behind her parents and two sisters.

Agam recently completed the military paramedics course this past March as an outstanding cadet. Despite the demands of her service as a combat soldier in Gaza, she made sure to volunteer during every leave at MDA, maintaining her professional skills. Her last shift in an MDA intensive care ambulance took place just this past Sunday, two days before her death.
Ben Kochavi, an MDA paramedic who worked with Agam during her final shift, shared his deep sorrow: “I received the news of her death with shock and profound sadness. She was incredibly skilled, full of life and joy. She was proud to defend the country and save lives—both in her IDF uniform and in MDA. It’s hard to believe that my last shift with her was truly the last.”
Yam Barbi, an MDA paramedic and Agam’s lead instructor in the military paramedics course, described her as a “unique and outstanding trainee, both professionally and personally.” She noted Agam’s impressive academic achievements, as she graduated with the highest average in her class. “She was always smiling, professional, humble, and very kind,” Barbi said.
Eli Bin, MDA’s Director-General, highlighted Agam’s extraordinary commitment: “Agam excelled in everything she did and aspired to save lives, both in her IDF uniform and at MDA. She stood out in her professionalism and her love for others and life-saving.”
Her memory will live on as a symbol of dedication, professionalism, and love for humanity. Magen David Adom and the IDF, alongside the entire nation of Israel, bow their heads in her honor and send condolences to her family in this difficult time.
