During the operation, Israel Air Force aircraft targeted several armed terrorist cells. Additionally, IDF soldiers neutralized two more terrorists in close combat, destroyed dozens of explosive devices planted along roads, arrested several suspects, and seized weapons.
Senior Terror Operative Eliminated in Tulkarem
Among the terrorists killed was Qasi Amin Ibrahim Aqasha, described in an IDF statement as “a senior operative in the Tulkarem terror organization.” Aqasha had replaced Tarek Dush, a terrorist eliminated in a joint IDF and Shin Bet airstrike last week. Also killed were terrorists Ju’ama Salem Ubaid and Imran Harun, another senior operative in the organization.
The IDF Spokesperson stated: “Security forces will continue offensive and defensive operations to ensure the safety of Israel’s citizens.”
It should be noted that Menashe Brigade Commander Col. Ayoub Kayuf sustained light injuries from shrapnel to his hand following an explosive device detonated near a military vehicle during the operation in Tulkarem. The Commander of the Judea and Samaria Division, Brig. Gen. Yaki Dolf, was also in the vehicle but was unharmed.
