Terrorism in Judea and Samaria: The Menashe Brigade Commander, Col. Ayoub Kayouf, was lightly injured last night (between Tuesday and Wednesday) by shrapnel in his hand after being hit by an explosive device targeting a military vehicle during an operation in Tulkarm. His condition is defined as light. The commander of the Judea and Samaria Division, Brig. Gen. Yaki Dolf, was in the vehicle but was not harmed.

Over the past year, the IDF has been extensively countering the threat of explosives planted by terrorists in Arab cities across Judea and Samaria, with a focus on refugee camps. Since the beginning of the war, three IDF and Border Police fighters have been killed in Judea and Samaria due to explosive devices detonated against them.

Let us recall that since Monday night, the IDF, Shin Bet, and police forces have been operating in Tulkarm, within the Menashe Brigade sector. The forces have eliminated several terrorists in face-to-face combat and continue their operations in the area.

Wishing the Menashe Brigade Commander, Ayoub Kayouf, a full recovery
The Yesha Council stated this morning that its leaders wish the Menashe Brigade Commander, Ayoub Kayouf, a full recovery. “Last night’s explosive attack is yet another sign of Iranian entrenchment in the area. At this time, we seek to strengthen the hands of IDF commanders and soldiers. We call on the Israeli government to instruct the IDF to act in Judea and Samaria as it does in Gaza and Lebanon, before it is too late.”
