This morning (Monday), many citizens in Israel woke up to an extraordinary sight in the sky. The hostages’ symbol, which has become associated with the hope of returning the hostages from Hamas captivity, was “drawn” over the skies of the country and visible from various regions – from the north to the south.

Despite the emotional scene, it remains unclear whether this was caused by regular contrails created by airplanes or a deliberate action by a pilot using a special smoke system for this purpose. The identity of the pilot or the group behind the act remains a mystery.

A Symbol that Unites the Nation
The hostages’ symbol has become one of the most recognizable emblems of the campaign to free the hostages in recent months. It appears on posters, billboards, and social media – and now, also in the skies of the country.
