The elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, threatened the terrorist organization Hamas once again last night (Tuesday-Wednesday). “It’s better they return the hostages soon,” said the president-elect in response to a journalist’s question about the hostages held by Hamas.

Trump’s Strong Statement: “Release the Hostages Now!”

As a reminder, earlier this month, Trump posted on his social media app (Truth Social):

“If the hostages are not released by January 20, the day I take office as president, there will be hell to pay in the Middle East for those who committed these crimes against humanity. Those responsible will be hit harder than anyone has been hit in all of America’s turbulent history. Release the hostages, now!”

Less Aid to Gaza, More Security Support for Israel
Last week, Trump sent diplomatic messages to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, clarifying that he would not support continuing humanitarian aid to Gaza at the levels established under the Biden administration. Additionally, he pledged to lift the embargo on arms supplies to Israel — a step that raises expectations for a significant improvement in the country’s security capabilities, as reported by Channel 12 News.

Trump further emphasized his commitment to lifting the embargo on arms supplies to Israel, a move that brings hope for a major upgrade in the nation’s defense systems. The embargo, imposed during Biden’s administration, caused tensions between Jerusalem and Washington. Now, Trump’s promise signifies a new direction in security cooperation between the two nations.
