Vehicular Attack Near Beit El: Pedestrian Injured, Terrorist Neutralized

A 20-year-old pedestrian was critically injured in a vehicular attack at the Givat Asaf junction. The terrorist, who was driving a gas tanker, was neutralized on the scene. Security forces are currently conducting roadblocks in the area.

A terror attack occurred today (Wednesday) at the Givat Asaf junction in Judea and Samaria, where a terrorist carried out a vehicular ramming attack using a gas tanker. As a result of the attack, a 20-year-old pedestrian was critically injured. The terrorist was neutralized by security forces at the scene.

According to initial reports, the terrorist was driving a truck carrying hazardous materials and ran over a pedestrian at the junction. Immediately following the attack, gunfire was heard in the area, likely as part of the neutralization of the terrorist.

Yossi Amar, a medic and head of the Binyamin branch of United Hatzalah, who was the first to arrive at the scene, said: “I quickly arrived at the scene and encountered a gas tanker that, according to bystanders, had run over a pedestrian. So far, one critically injured person has been treated at the scene.” Medical teams evacuated the wounded person for urgent medical care.

IDF forces arrived quickly at the scene and are conducting roadblocks in the area of the attack. Deputy Commander Roni Yaakov, head of the Matityahu Station responsible for the area, stated: “According to security officials, this was a vehicular attack carried out by a truck transporting hazardous materials. Firefighters are on-site, ensuring the safety of the forces operating in the area and are prepared for any scenario.”
