“We Will Decapitate the Leaders of the Houthis as We Did to Haniyeh, Sinwar, and Nasrallah”

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened the Houthis and, for the first time, acknowledged responsibility for eliminating Haniyeh: "Whoever raises a hand against Israel will have it severed, and the long arm of the IDF will strike them and hold them accountable."

Against the backdrop of the announcement about the deaths of three IDF soldiers in northern Gaza, Defense Minister Israel Katz participated this evening (Monday) in an appreciation event for Israel’s security coordinators (Ravshatzim) and their spouses, organized by the Ministry of Defense and the IDF. In his remarks, Katz addressed the elimination of top terror leaders and the continuation of the war.

“Exactly as We Did to Haniyeh, Sinwar, and Nasrallah”
“In these days when the Houthi terror organization is firing missiles at Israel,” the defense minister began, “I want to send them a clear message at the outset of my remarks: We defeated Hamas, we beat Hezbollah, we blinded Iran’s defense systems and struck its production lines, we toppled Assad’s regime in Syria, we dealt severe blows to the axis of evil—and we will also strike hard at the Houthi terror organization in Yemen, which remains standing as the last.”

Katz further stated that Israel would target the Houthis’ strategic infrastructure: “We will decapitate its leaders—exactly as we did to Haniyeh, Sinwar, and Nasrallah in Tehran, Gaza, and Lebanon—and we will do so in Hodeidah and Sana’a. Whoever raises a hand against Israel will have it severed, and the long arm of the IDF will strike them and hold them accountable.”

As mentioned, three IDF soldiers fell in battle in northern Gaza, as was permitted for publication this evening. Defense Minister Israel Katz wrote on his X account:
“A difficult evening as we learn of the deaths of three soldiers from the Kfir Brigade—Captain Eli Adadgi, Sergeant Major Netanel Pesach, and Master Sergeant Hillel Diner—our heroes who sacrificed their lives to defend the homeland and fell in battle in northern Gaza. My heart is with their families and loved ones, who received the hardest news of all this evening. For them and in their memory, we will continue to act resolutely for the security of our state.”
