Last night (Sunday to Monday), reports surfaced of a widespread wave of airstrikes in Syria, attributed to the Israeli Air Force. The strikes, described as “the most violent in years,” focused on the provinces of Hama, Homs, Tartus, and Damascus, with particular emphasis on the Masyaf region in Hama.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an opposition group based in London, at least four people were killed in strikes on six positions in the Masyaf area. Saudi television channel Al-Hadath reported three rounds of strikes targeting five pro-Iranian militia sites in the area.
Among the targets hit, according to reports, was a scientific research institute that sustained heavy damage from multiple missiles. Additionally, military posts and other sites were reported to have been struck. A Syrian military source confirmed the attacks but claimed a lower casualty count—three dead and 15 wounded.

Syria claimed that its air defense systems intercepted some of the Israeli missiles but admitted that at least 15 missiles hit their targets. The strikes were carried out in multiple waves, with fighter jets launching missiles from the direction of northwestern Lebanon.
It is important to note that while the strikes were attributed to Israel, Israel has not officially responded to these reports.
